Both Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi had some nice things to say about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) at POLITICO’s The California Agenda: Sacramento Summit Tuesday.
Pelosi said any reports of tension between the two are simply not true.
Reports suggested there was tension between the two representatives after Ocasio-Cortez was
elected in 2018.
Pelosi suggested that tensions were due to Ocasio-Cortez’s staff — particularly Saikat Chakrabarti, Ocasio-Cortez’s former chief of staff who unsuccessfully ran to succeed Pelosi in San Francisco’s primary election.
“I think that she has been so operational, and it’s just wonderful. Wonderful,” Pelosi said of Ocasio-Cortez. “I know it’s a joy to work with her. I think most members think that”

.
She “speaks in a way that millions of young people understand,” he said.
