For more than three decades, Michelle Pfeiffer and David E. Kelley had one firm rule: Never mix Marriage with work.
According to Fox News, that boundary finally gave way — not out of necessity, but because of a role neither of them could ignore.
The longtime couple is teaming up for the first time on the new Apple TV+ series “Margot’s Got Money Troubles,” marking a major shift after 32 years together.
The show, adapted from Rufi Thorpe’s novel, features Pfeiffer as Shyanne Millet, a former waitress navigating a complicated relationship with her daughter.
The project unexpectedly came into Pfeiffer’s orbit.
“My husband and I have never worked together and there was this book laying on the counter in the kitchen and I kept walking by it,” she recalled. “And I was ‘What’s that?’ He said, ‘Oh yeah, that’s a book … Oh, and by the way, there’s a part in there that everyone thinks no one can play but you.’”
