U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin is laying out when Americans could start to receive the new stimulus checks after Congress reached a deal on an approximately $900 billion coronavirus relief bill.
During Monday’s interview on CNBC, Mnuchin said, “The good news is this is a very, very fast way of getting money into the Economy. Let me emphasize: People are going to see this money at the beginning of next week.”
He continued, “People go out and spend this money, and that helps small business and that helps getting more people back to work.” He added that he believes “this will take us through the recovery.”
