AOC Challenges POTUS to Release His College Transcript After Insulting Her Intelligence

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is challenging President Donald Trump to release his college transcript to show who was the better student after he attacked her intelligence on national TV.

On Thursday, she shared a clip from an interview Trump did on Fox Business earlier in the day where he said she was a “poor student” and “not even a smart person.”

“AOC was a poor student. I won’t say where she went to school it doesn’t matter. This is not even a smart person, other than she’s got a good line of stuff. I mean, she goes out and she yaps,” he said.

That prompted Ocasio-Cortez to issue her challenge, “Let’s make a deal, Mr. President: You release your college transcript, I’ll release mine, and we’ll see who was the better student.”

“Loser has to fund the Post Office,” she added.

Congressional Democrats have raised concerns that without adequate funding, the U.S. Postal Service will fail to handle the surge in mail-in ballots expected to be cast in the upcoming election.

During that same interview, Trump fueled concerns that he was trying to sabotage the U.S. Postal Service ahead of the election. He said, “ want $25 billion for the post office. Now, they need that money in order to have the post office work so it could take all of these millions and millions of ballots.”

“Now, in the meantime, they aren’t getting there. By the way, those are just two items. But if they don’t get those two items, that means you can’t have universal mail-in voting, because they’re not equipped to have it,” he added.

Later in the interview, he said, “Now, if we don’t make a deal, that means they don’t get the money. That means they can’t have universal mail-in voting … They just can’t have it. So, you know, sort of a crazy thing.”

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) recently accused Trump of trying to undermine the Postal Service, as IJR reported.

In a tweet, she called on Congress to “shore up the USPS so everyone can continue to receive the essential supplies they need, and so as many Americans as possible can safely vote from home.”

Highlighting the financial troubles the agency is facing, Postmaster General Louis DeJoy warned that without “dramatic change,” his agency will face “face an impending liquidity crisis.”
