Several House Democrats were reportedly arrested during a protest outside the Supreme Court over its decision to overturn the landmark abortion decision Roe v. Wade.
A video showed a police officer leading Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) away from the protest. And at the same time, the New York Congresswoman held her hands behind her back as though she were handcuffed.
However, as she walked, Ocasio-Cortez eventually raised one fist in solidarity with other protesters.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) was also seen appearing to pretend to be handcuffed.
She was seen walking with her hands behind her back, similar to Ocasio-Cortez, but also eventually raised one fist.
A tweet from Omar’s account read, “Today I was arrested while participating in a civil disobedience action with my fellow Members of Congress outside the Supreme Court. I will continue to do everything in my power to raise the alarm about the assault on our reproductive rights.”

The protest comes nearly a month after the Supreme Court ruled, “The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives.”
