Biden Ripped for Acknowledging He Has 7 Grandchildren ‘As if the Last Four Years Never Existed’

President Joe Biden is now publicly stating he has seven grandchildren, but his seemingly abrupt change in language is leading to some criticism.

During an interview on the podcast “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” released on Monday, Biden said, “I have seven grandkids — five old enough to talk on the phone.”

“Every day I either text them or call them,” he added.

In 2019, a DNA test determined his son, Hunter Biden, was the father of a daughter, Navy Joan, which would bring the total number of grandchildren up to seven.

However, in the years since, the president has stated he has six grandchildren.

But last week, things changed when 👤Joe Bidenacknowledged Navy publicly for the first time.

Conservative strategist Greg Price tweeted a video of the interview on Monday and wrote, “Incredible. As if the last four years never existed, 👤Joe Biden is now saying publicly that he has seven grandkids.”

“And the only reason he’s doing it is because of bad poll numbers, not because, ya know, the little girl is family,” he added.

Price also shared a video from April where Biden stated he has six grandchildren.

Conservative commentator Stephen Miller wrote, “Just like that huh.”

“👤Joe Biden is such a great family man, guys. As of a few months ago, he was still saying he had grandkids. But now he’s acknowledging that Navy Joan does in fact exist only because his team saw the internal polls showing it was affecting him politically,” another user tweeted.

Yet another user wrote, “Too little too late.”

“The old adage ‘When people show you who they are, believe them’ applies here. Joe and his wayward son showed everyone who they are. Revisionist history over some poll numbers won’t change that,” they added.

In a statement on Friday, Biden said, “Our son Hunter and Navy’s mother, Lunden, are working together to foster a relationship that is in the best interests of their daughter, preserving her privacy as much as possible going forward.”

“This is not a political issue, it’s a family matter,” he continued, adding, “Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren, including Navy.”
