Biden Condemns Antisemitic Protests — And ‘Those Who Don’t Understand What’s Going on With the Palestinians’

President Joe Biden is condemning antisemitic protests on college campuses in the wake of Israel’s war against Hamas following the Oct. 7 massacre.

However, he is also condemning another group.

On Monday, a reporter asked Biden, “Do you condemn the antisemitic protests on college campuses?”

“I condemn the antisemitic protests. That’s why I have set up a program to deal with that,” the president responded.

He added, “I also condemn those who don’t understand what’s going on with the Palestinians.”

The question came after over 100 protesters were arrested at Columbia University after they set up an encampment to demand the university divest from Israel and accused it of being complicit in “genocide.”

Demonstrators reportedly called police officers the “KKK” and “baby killers.” One officer said they were told to “go kill ourselves.”

Israel has been conducting a war against Hamas after its Oct. 7 attack killed nearly 1,200 people. The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says over 34,000 Palestinians have been killed in the war, however, that number has not been independently confirmed.
