President Joe Biden says a lot of things — a lot.
But on Monday, he really outdid himself as he spoke on the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks during a stop in Alaska.
“I join you on this solemn day to renew our sacred vow: never forget. Never forget. We never forget. Each of us – each of those precious lives stolen too soon when evil attacked,” Biden said.
He added, “Ground Zero in New York – I remember standing there the next day, and looking at the building. And I felt like I was looking through the gates of hell, it looked so devastating because of the way – from where you could stand.”

Of course, it did not take long for the usual course of events to play out when Biden tells a revisionist story.
As it turns out, Biden was not at Ground Zero in New York City on Sept. 12, 2001.
He was apparently speaking about his visit to the site of the attack nine days afterward. And CNN published a fact-check of his claim.
According to the network, the White House provided a picture of Biden at Ground Zero on Sept. 20, 2001. An official under the condition of anonymity, for some reason, told CNN, “The President first visited the World Trade Center nine days after the September 11 terrorist attacks as part of a bipartisan delegation from the Senate.”
Why they wanted to remain anonymous when the president just lied or mistakenly believed he was staring at the burning rubble the day after is unclear.
