President Joe Biden suffered an oral stumble when he tried to call out a Democratic member of Congress.

During an event at the White House on Monday, Biden said, “Thank you for the members of Congress here today, including two outstanding educating congresswomen.”

“Jonah… by the way Jonah Hayes… Jonah, where are you?” Biden asked.

He went on, “There you are Jonah, right in front of me. Stand up, Jonah. Jonah happened to be the 2016 national teacher of the year.”

He was searching for Rep. Jahana Hayes (D-Conn.)

This is not the first time Biden has messed up a congressperson’s name.

In July 2022, he referenced Rep. Jake Auchincloss’ (D-Mass.) name as he pronounced it “Auchincloss-sauce.”

Then asked, “Where is she?”

In January, he repeatedly sought out Rep. Don Beyer (D-Va.) at an event and also had some oral flubs.

“Where’s Doug?” Biden asked. “Congressman… he’s around here somewhere.”

The president later went to call Beyer by the wrong name a few more times.

“Not a joke, and one more, I’ve been saying this during the last campaign… Doug knows this… Don… look, here’s the deal,” Biden said.

He later said, “Doug, I think you might have been with me when I invited the chairman of the board of three major automobile companies in America.”
