Former Vice President Joe Biden wishes President Donald Trump would say nothing when it comes to the stock market declines and coronavirus.
On Monday, a clip of Bidenâs MSNBCâs âLast Wordâ interview was released. During the clip, Lawrence OâDonnell touched on the market reaction.
OâDonnell asked Biden if he believes the markets have realized Trump hasnât been completely forthcoming about the severity of the Coronavirus Outbreak.
To which, Biden responded by saying he just wishes Trump would âjust be quiet.â
âI wish he would just be quiet, I really mean it. Thatâs an awful thing to say about a president, but be quiet, just let the experts speak and acknowledge whatever they suggest to him is what we should be doing,â Biden said.
Biden also said that he believes Trumpâs response efforts may be impacting the market reaction.
âBut it wouldnât collapse, I donât think. Now, who can say? But I think thereâs no confidence in the president in anything he says or does. He turns everything into what he thinks is a political benefit for himself, and heâs actually imploding in the process. But hereâs a lot of innocent bystanders being badly hurt.â

In the wake of the coronavirus, the stock market has taken a notable hit with record-breaking low numbers. However, Trump has repeatedly insisted that everything is fine. He has also refuted the claims about the coronavirus fatality rate calling it a âfalse numberâ and accusing the media of using the virus for the sole purpose of invoking fear.
