So far, there have not been too many candidates who President Joe Biden has campaigned with.

But on Thursday, he ventured out of Washington, D.C., to campaign with Pennsylvania Senate candidate and the state’s lieutenant governor, John Fetterman.

However, he did not escape his trip without a gaffe.

During the event, Biden said, ā€œJohn, thank you very much for running. I really do appreciate it.ā€

ā€œGisele, you’re going to be a great, great lady in the Senate,ā€ he added.

Watch the video below:

Republican Senate hopeful Mehmet Oz appeared to raise the prospect that John Fetterman may not be up for the job if he wins the election, and that his wife could replace him.

ā€œThis is not about me or him. It’s about the voters,ā€ Oz said during an interview on the ā€œHugh Hewitt Show, adding, ā€œThey have a right to know what’s going on in his body so they can tell if his wife is right or not. Is he going to be the senator or is she going to be the senator?ā€

Earlier this year, John Fetterman was sidelined from the campaign for three months after he suffered a stroke.

And questions about his health have become a focus in the race in recent weeks.

However, his primary care physician, Clifford Chen, released a detailed medical report, provided to The Philidelphia Inquirer Tuesday, after he examined Fetterman. Chen said in the report the candidate’s ā€œlung exam was clear, heart rate was regular and his strength was normal in all four extremities without any strength or coordination deficits.ā€

Chen added Fetterman ā€œspoke intelligently without cognitive deficit.ā€ And while he is still showing symptoms of auditory processing disorder, the Senate hopeful’s ā€œcommunication is significantly improved compared to his first visit, assisted by speech therapy, which he has attended on a regular basis since the stroke.ā€

This is not the first time Biden suffered a gaffe while campaigning for John Fetterman.

In August, he told a crowd, ā€œThink about doing me a favor. Please, please elect the attorney general to the Senate elect that big ole boy to be governor.ā€

Biden probably was not suggesting Gisele Fetterman would replace her husband as a senator.

But it is just another moment of Biden saying weird comments that make it seem as though he’s either confused or sharing details that he shouldn’t be. And it was kind of odd that he only thanked John Fetterman ā€œfor runningā€ while saying his wife would be a ā€œgreat lady in the Senate.ā€
