President Joe Biden is trying to knock former President Donald Trump by reviving the claim he recommended people inject themselves with bleach to fight COVID-19.
During an event on Wednesday, Biden said, âRemember when he was trying to deal with Covid, he said, just inject a little bleach in your veins.â
âHe missed, it all went to his hair,â he added.
As the audience erupted in laughter, Biden said, âI shouldnât have said that⌠you guys are a bad influence on me.â

Bidenâs comment refers to a years-old claim Trump encouraged people to inject bleach in 2020 to help fight COVID-19.
During a press conference featuring William Bryan, who lead, the science and technology directorate at the Department of Homeland Security, Trump tried to speak about sunlight and disinfectants.
âAÂ question that probably some of you are thinking of if youâre totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposing we hit the body with a tremendous, whether itâs ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasnât been checked, but youâre going to test it,â the then-president said.
He went on:
âAnd then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said youâre going to test that too. Sounds interesting, right? And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So itâd be interesting to check that. So that youâre going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, weâll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. Thatâs pretty powerfulâ
Democrats have longed claimed Trump recommended injecting bleach to fight the virus, however, he did not, nor did he mention bleach.
