President Joe Bidenās sister, Valerie Biden Owens, says Democrats should be considered the pro-life party because they are the ones āadvocating for a better life,ā according to her book.
Fox News received a copy of her memoir titled, āGrowing Up Biden: A Memoir.ā
Owens explained she āharbored complicated feelings on the topicā of Abortion, adding, āIām pro-choice, but I remain convinced that Democrats chose the wrong term for our side of the issue.ā
She continued, āWe should have been pro-life, for we are the ones advocating for a better life, a life in which a mother gets to determine her future and that of her child.ā
Owens āeven accidentallyā says she is āpro-life.ā
She added, āSometimes, I even accidentally say Iām pro-life, because thatās what it feels like the pro-choice position should have been called.ā
The New York Post noted Owensā memoir appears to conflict with a White House ethics policy saying family members should not be able to profit off of their relationship with the president.
Last January, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement, āItās the White Houseās policy that the Presidentās name should not be used in connection with any commercial activities to suggest or in any way ā in any way they could reasonably be understood to imply his endorsement or support.ā
Fox News pointed out Owens previously served as the presidentās campaign manager and advised him during his presidential campaigns.
During an interview with CBS News earlier this month, Owens was asked how she has been a force of nature for her brother.

āIāve been his sister. Thatās what you have at the end of everything. You go to family,ā Owens said.
Her memoir will be released on Tuesday.
Owensā book tour was expected to begin last Thursday but went virtual after it was reported she tested positive for COVID-19.
