Bob Sagetâs widow Kelly Rizzo called on Twitter CEO Elon Musk to make a change to her husbandâs account on the anniversary of his death.
On Monday Rizzo tweeted, âHi â today on the 1 year anniversary of Bobâs () passing, I saw heâs no longer verified? My husband truly loved Twitter. Out of respect for his legacy, can something be done? Thank you kindly (friends, please help).â
She added, âAnd the only reason Iâm addressing this at all is because I know Bob would be very bummed about this. Heâd say âhey, if someone goes to see my page and all the jokes Iâve tweeted over the years, how will they know itâs for sure me!?'â
Twitter users shared Rizzoâs request and expressed their support for the verification.
One user suggested, âShould be the Legacy Blue, which would reflect the time of his career and social media presence. Even then and Now! Not sure why his Blue Check would be yanked to begin withâŠâ
Another wrote, âBob Saget should be forever blue.â

Writer Chris Smith tweeted, âHelp bring back Bobâs check mark by RTing this and tagging . Kelly is a friend of mine who comes from a well-known real estate family in Chicago.â
In addition to asking Musk to make the change to the account, Rizzo posted a tribute to her husband on Instagram.
âOne Year. Our hearts are so heavy,â she wrote.
The post continues, âHow could I not have talked to or seen my loving husband in a whole year? The surreal-ness never subsides. Iâve accepted the reality long ago but it still seems unreal when I see photos or videos of him so full of life.â
Rizzo shared there is âone thing I carry with me every single day that makes this survivable. I AM THE LUCKIEST. I am the luckiest that I got to be his wife. I am the luckiest that I got to live with his warmth, and laughter, and brilliance, and love. I am the luckiest that I get to have his girls by my side. I am the luckiest that I got to watch him first hand help people, make them happy, and make the world a better place.â
She explained, âSome people can live 1,000 lifetimes and never live a life as fully as he did. And to that I have to say, Well Done. You really won life, honey. And that is why I will be forever grateful for him and all the endless love he gave me, until my last day.â
Saget was found dead last year in his hotel room and reportedly died from head trauma, according to a statement released by his family.
He was 65 years old.
