Prince Harry’s friends were not thrilled with his decision to date Meghan Markle, according to a new book.
The Sun obtained excerpts of the book, “Revenge: Meghan, Harry And The War Between The Windsors,” by biographer Tom Bower.
In the book, Bower details an event during which Markle met some of his friends.
“Like other shooting weekends, Harry was looking forward to endless banter, jokes — and a lot of drinking,” Bower wrote.
He continued, “He had not anticipated Meghan’s reaction. Their jokes, involving sexism, feminism and transgender people, ricocheted around the living-rooms and dining-rooms.”
Without hesitation, Markle reportedly “challenged every guest whose conversation contravened her values.”
Harry’s friends said again and again Markle “reprimanded them about the slightest inappropriate nuance. Nobody was exempt.”
Bower reported that some of Harry’s friends expressed their concerns with Markle’s “wokery,” adding, “Meghan was a dampener on the party, they concluded.”
The book continues, “She lacked any sense of humour. Driving home after Sunday lunch, the texts pinged between the cars: ‘OMG, what about HER?’ said one. ‘Harry must be f***ing nuts.'”
During another trip, some of Harry’s friends said, “Not only did she quibble about the food, but she behaved ‘princessy,'” refusing to engage with them.
