The U.S. Senate confirmed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be President Donald Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The vote, 52-48, on Thursday means Kennedy will oversee ā€œagencies that administer Medicare and Medicaid, guard against infectious disease, conduct medical research, and regulate food and medicine,ā€ per The New York Times.

Per the NYT, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was the only Republican to vote ā€œnoā€ for Kennedy.
