The U.S. Senate confirmed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be President Donald Trumpās Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The vote, 52-48, on Thursday means Kennedy will oversee āagencies that administer Medicare and Medicaid, guard against infectious disease, conduct medical research, and regulate food and medicine,ā per The New York Times.
Per the NYT, Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) was the only Republican to vote ānoā for Kennedy.
