Emma Heming Willis, wife of actor Bruce Willis, opened up about her new brand focusing on womenâs brain health.
In an exclusive interview with People, Heming Willis, 44, spoke about her new brand, Make Time Wellness, that helps âwomen make time for themselves, and put their brain, mental, emotional & physical health above all else. And yes, we can have all that and be beautiful!â per its official website.
She revealed that a few years ago she was experiencing âshort-term memory and fogginess.â She visited a doctor to find the cause of her âmommy brain.â
âWe always talk about breast health or heart health, but brain health was just something that I had never heard of,â she said.
After discovering what brain health was, Heming Willis started to take it more seriously.
âMy brain was suffering, and I could feel it. Why is the focus on the rest of our body when really our brain is our biggest asset and the one that we should be really looking after? I found that when you put your brain first and when you are taking care of your brain, your whole body benefits,â she added.
The brandâs first four products are two types of wellness drink powders and two types of gummy vitamins
On Feb. 16, Heming Willis announced on behalf of the Willis Family the âDie Hardâ actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
She shared with People how his diagnosis inspired her to speak out about the disorder.
âFor me, itâs really about connecting to a community and being open and able to talk about dementia and to take away that stigma that there is no shame around it. Iâm learning through the process,â she said.
Continuing, she said, Iâm able to call an expert and speak to some of the most incredible doctors. So I guess I have a new purpose, and Iâm so excited that Iâm able to share what Iâm learning with everyone. Itâs like a fireâs been lit.â
Heming Willis continued to elaborate on her ânew purpose.â
âAnd here I am. I hate that itâs me. I wish it wasnât, but you know what? Iâm not going to be quiet,â she added.
She assured she is âgoing to use my voice and through action, awareness and conversation, that creates change.â
