Conservative commentator Tucker Carlson is ripping into two Republican senators for their response to the death of three U.S. soldiers.
On Sunday, CNN reported three Army soldiers were killed and over 30 were injured in a drone attack on an outpost in Jordan. U.S. officials blamed the attack on Iran-backed militants.
After the news broke, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) unleashed a thread on X, blasting President Joe Biden’s administration as he argued its policy of deterrence had “failed miserably.”
“I am calling on the Biden Administration to strike targets of significance inside Iran, not only as reprisal for the killing of our forces, but as deterrence against future aggression,” he continued.
Finally, Graham said, “Hit Iran now. Hit them hard.”
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) wrote, “Target Tehran.”
However, he later clarified he was calling for the Biden administration to target “ and Quds Force terrorist facilitators.”
Carlson did not hold back with his criticism of their views.
He shared the two senator’s tweets and wrote, “F***ing lunatics.”
CNN noted the attack is the first time since the Israel-Hamas war began that U.S. service members were killed by enemy fire.
Addressing the attack on Sunday, Biden vowed, “We shall respond.”
