Fox Newsâ Tucker Carlson is criticizing CNN for its coverage of former President Donald Trumpâs trip from Florida to New York.
During a segment of his show on Monday, Carlson said, âTrumpâs upcoming arraignment tomorrow isnât a turning point in our countryâs legal system.â
âItâs yet another chance to follow Trump around in the hope that ratings will return,â he insisted.
Carlson then played a montage of CNN following Trumpâs movements from Florida to New York City, including shots of his motorcade driving and his plane taking off.
The montage ended with CNNâs Dana Bash saying, âOne of the things that we have learned is not to put everything at an 11 â not to make everything the biggest deal.â
âThis is a big deal,â she added.

Finally, Carlson quipped, âThis is a big deal. We get to talk over live pictures, what we were trained to do in local news.â
Trump flew from Florida to New York City on Monday ahead of his arraignment. He is slated to appear in a Manhattan courthouse at 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
And CNN extensively covered his trip.
The network also showed footage of Trumpâs plane landing in New York City, which was apparently filmed from a boat.
At a separate point, a panel also tried to examine Trumpâs body language as he got off his plane.
MSNBCâs Joe Scarborough blasted the mediaâs coverage as well during a segment on Tuesday, saying, âWe saw Trumpâs plane landing at LaGuardia for it looked like 20 minutes. It was a shot that looked like space shuttle Challenger or something like that, or Columbia returning.â
âEvery network was on it forever, and then it lands, and, weâre on the Trump plane. We gave the guy ⌠I would guess, $40 to $50 million of earned media,â he added.
