The nation is Mourning the shocking loss of Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, who was shot and killed Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem.
The conservative firebrand, husband, and father of two was initially in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries, according to Fox News.
Country music stars and conservative figures quickly took to social media to grieve the death of a man many described as a “patriot,” a “visionary,” and a “voice of reason”.
President Donald Trump issued a heartfelt message on Truth Social, confirming Kirk’s death and Mourning the loss of his close friend.
“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie,” Trump wrote. “He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”
