Chase Chrisley, son of Todd and Julie Chrisley, opened up for the first time about the difficulties of having parents in prison.

On Thursday, Chase Chrisley, 26, appeared on the Chasin’ Birdies podcast and got candid about how he’s coping with life without his parents.

ā€œIt’s heartbreaking. It really is,ā€ he said.

He also shared that he and his sister, Savannah Chrisley, 25, ā€œnever miss a weekendā€ for prison visits with their parents.

ā€œSavannah will go see my dad, I’ll go see my mom. We’ll rotate, and Savannah will normally take the kids down with her. But it’s tough, man,ā€ he explained.

Continuing, he said, ā€œI mean, our Family loves really, really hard, so when you love somebody as much as we love each other, it’s definitely very difficult to see your loved ones in a situation like that.ā€

Chase Chrisley gave insight into what the prison visits are like, revealing, ā€œYou’re just in a big room with everybody.ā€

He also confirmed that he is able to hug his parents during their time together.

ā€œWhich is a blessing in itself because some places you don’t get to do that,ā€ he added.

During the Dec. 27 episode of her podcast ā€œUnlocked,ā€ Savannah Chrisley spoke with Chase Chrisley’s fiance, Emmy Medders, about how she was coping with the reality of her parent’s sentencing.

ā€œIn my mind, I’m like, I can’t move on with my life. Until I know that they’re going to be there, I can’t get married. I can’t have a kid,ā€ she explained.

She also shared the encouragement her father gave her to help her cope with the separation.

ā€œDad was like, ā€˜I may not be here in front of you, but I’m still alive,ā€™ā€ she said. ā€œā€˜I’m still fighting. You don’t have to live a day without speaking to me.ā€™ā€

Todd and Julie Chrisley wereĀ convictedĀ in June 2022 of ā€œconspiring to defraud Atlanta banks,ā€ according to Fox 5 Atlanta.
