The Rushingbrook Children’s Choir made headlines when Capitol police shut down their performance of the National anthem, but now they will be singing at former President Donald Trump’s July 1 Independence Day Celebration in Pickens, South Carolina.
Special guest details for the event were released by the Trump Campaign Wednesday and they included a performance by the Rushingbrook Children’s Choir.
This comes after Trump personally addressed the choir in a video shared with the Post and Courier stating, “I heard about what happened at the Capitol and that’s a shame.”
“Really it’s a serious thing to have an event like that, such a beautiful time in your lives, at such an important time in your lives, to be interrupted in such a way. But we’re going to have you in South Carolina,” he added.
Now, the children will sing to honor the nation’s birthday during Trump’s event who had also previously told them in his video address, “Thank you for loving America.”
