On Monday, Evans, 42, who portrayed Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinema Universe (MCU), appeared on āThe Viewā and revealed whether a reunion was in the works.
āYou know, I always see those reports, too, and itās news to me,ā he shared.

However, Evans said he would ānever say neverā about reprising his role.
āIām very protective. Itās a very precious role to me, so it would have to be just right,ā he added.
Evans also revealed what he misses about being a part of the āMarvel world.ā
āYeah, so many things. I mean, itās just intrinsically cool to be a superhero. Itās very fun to play make-believe and live out your childhood dreams.ā
He referenced the friendships he made with not only the cast, whom he said are āsome of my best friends in the world,ā but also the crew after months of filming together.

This came after Variety reported there were talks of the original āAvengersā team reassembling. However, the outlet stated Marvel Studios hadnāt āyet committed to the idea.ā
The last āAvengersā film was in 2019, per Rotten Tomatoes.
In April, Evans made similar comments in an interview with The Wrap about the film series.
āItās tough. I love that role deeply. It means so much to me,ā he stated.
Furthermore, he said he believes Steve Rogersā story isnāt complete.
āAnd I mean, do I think thereās more Steve Rogers stories to tell? Sure. But at the same time, Iām very, very precious with it,ā he explained.
Evans continued, āItās like this little shiny thing that I have that I love so much, and I just donāt want to mess up in any way, and I was a part of something that was so special for the special period of time and in a way it really landed so well.ā
Additionally, Evans said as much as he is āconnected to that roleā and loves ātelling those stories and working with those people,ā the timing ādoesnāt quite feel right right now.ā
