Comedian Tim Young says country singer Jason Aldean is a “victim of Cancel Culture” and predicted it would backfire.
In an interview with Fox News, Young said the attempt to try to cancel Aldean in response to his new song, “Try That in a Small Town,” would fail. He pointed out the hypocrisy of people being offended over his song while supporting songs that promote “drugs, violence and sex.”
Aldean’s new song talks about the disorder, crime and rioting which occurred during the 2020 riots, while also talking about what it feels like to grow in a small town where rioting and violent Protests aren’t tolerated.
The song begins with Aldean singing about people carjacking old ladies, robbing liquor stores, stomping and burning the American flag, cursing at police officers, and suckerpunching strangers on the sidewalk. “Try that in a small town,” Aldean then says.
