Now that former president donald trump has won the Iowa Caucuses, and by a wide margin, per the IJR, conservatives are calling for Florida Gov. Ron Desantis and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley to drop out of the Republican primary race.

Podcast host Eric Matheny, posted to X, formerly Twitter, stating, “I like DeSantis. I hope that he returns to Florida, dedicates himself fully to the job of governor, and endorses Trump in the general.”

Podcasters the Hodgetwins pointed out that underdog candidate Vivek Ramaswamy gracefully dropped out after Trump won the caucus.

They wrote, “DeSantis and Haley need to drop out now and rally around Trump just like Vivek is doing.

“If they don’t, their careers are done. Focus on beating the Uniparty and not being a part of it,” they added.

Daniel F. Baranowski, retired Harvard professor, wrote, “The best advice anyone can give Nikki Haley & Ron Desantis is to drop out of the race and endorse Donald J Trump!”

Political commentator Rogan O’Handley said, “It’s time for these other GOP candidates to drop out so we can unify the party around President Trump.”

Gov. Kristi Noem of South Dakota congratulated Trump and said, “Iowa spoke loud and clear. @realdonaldtrump has won overwhelmingly tonight. He got more votes than all the other candidates COMBINED.”

She also added, “It’s time to unite the Republican party. We need to put all our time, treasure, and talents into defeating Joe Biden and taking our country back – NOT figuring out who is in 2nd place.”

Political activist Matt Schlapp stated, “My advice to Ron Desantis & Nikki Haley: Drop out and save yourselves the humiliation of losing in your home states.”

Political commentator Graham Allen noted, “Over $250 million was wasted on Nikki Haley and Ron Desantis’s campaign. It’s time for all other candidates to DROP OUT!!!”

Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-Tex.) stated, “NO Republican has won a contested iowa caucus by more than 12.8%. Tonight, Donald Trump won by 30.”

“It’s time to rally around the man who WILL BE our NOMINEE and the next President of the United States,” he concluded.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) congratulated Trump and also noted that beating Biden is the main goal.

He said, “No other Republican has a shot at the nomination. It’s therefore imperative that Republicans start getting behind Trump. No time to lose.”

Candice Owens, best-selling author and host of her own show, then offered her own analysis. She warned, “Nikki Haley trailing tightly behind Desantis doesn’t make sense to me.”

Then she concluded, “Something about her placement makes me uneasy. I do not think she intends to drop out under any circumstances and she is highly favored by the media.”
