Former counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway says President Joe Biden âreinforced why heâs an unpopular presidentâ during his press conference.
During an appearance on Fox Newsâ âHannity,â the host asked Conway for her reaction to Bidenâs Wednesday night press conference.
âNow you know why they donât let Biden do these press conferences. He didnât do well. Heâs arguing with reporters. Heâs arguing about his polling numbers, which are very clear,â Conway said.
She continued, âWe want the country to be prosperous and successful and intact and secure, and people just donât feel that.â
Conway suggested for the duration of the press conference Biden âreinforced why heâs an unpopular president.â
She added, âAfter one year, is the lowest on record. Yes, lower than Donald Trumpâs, who did not have the mainstream media pushing for him, covering for him, and, of course, voting for him.â
Conway claimed a number of Americans believe Biden is âincompetent,â explaining, âI think the incompetence measure is the most durable one because it is a reflection on the entire Democratic Party.â
âUntil we change the policies and until we change the president, this country is not going to get back on the track where they were. They miss the policies, they miss that âAmerica Firstâ agenda and accomplishments ⌠because people felt more secure, more prosperous, and that they had more opportunity. They had more faith in the office of the presidency,â Conway said.

According to an Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll, 43% say they somewhat or strongly approve of Bidenâs job performance while 56% say they somewhat or strongly disapprove of Bidenâs job performance, as The Hill reports.
During his press conference, Biden was pressed on inflation, the rise in COVID-19 cases, and other issues.
He defended his time in office, saying, âI didnât over-promise, but I think if you take a look at what weâve been able to do, you have to acknowledge we made enormous progress.â
