Singer Maren Morris revealed that she is hesitant to go to the Country music Association Awards (CMA) after a feud with Singer Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany Aldean.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Morris said that although she has been nominated, she doesn’t feel “comfortable” attending this year.
“Honestly, I haven’t decided if I’m gonna go. I’m very honored that my record is nominated. But I don’t know if I feel home there right now. So many people I love will be in that room, and maybe I’ll make a game-time decision and go. But as of right now, I don’t feel comfortable going,” she said.
On August 23, Brittany Aldean posted a video on her Instagram of her doing a makeup transformation.
She captioned the video, “I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life.”
Morris criticized Brittany Aldean for the caption, in a tweet, writing, “It’s so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human? Sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”
This was in response to Morris agreeing with singer Cassadee Pope after she wrote a tweet
