Country Singer Slams Adults Who Raided His Halloween Candy

Cody Tate of the band Whiskey Myers slammed the adults who raided his 🎃Halloween candy bowl outside his Texas home in a viral video.

Tate posted on his Instagram page the security footage of four adults taking all of the candy from the bowl on 🎃Halloween night that was left out for trick-or-treaters in Texas. They also had children present with them.

“And this is why you can’t trust people,” he wrote in the caption of the video.

Tate also asked his followers to inform him of who the candy bandits were.

“I figured it would happen but not adults. Now all the kids after these people can’t have any candy,” he added.

Tate shared a picture of the candy bowl in a previous post on his Instagram page just hours earlier with a sign on his door that read, “Please take 1, Happy 🎃Halloween!! Go Rangers!!”

“When the Rangers are in the World Series on 🎃Halloween. Sorry little un’s. Go ,” he wrote in the caption.

The adults in the video have not been identified, according to the New York Post.

According to the Laredo Morning Times, Tate also shared a video to Instagram of his neighbor emptying candy into the bowl. Text placed over the footage said, “There are still good people out there! Neighbor Scott for 🎃Halloween MVP!”

Users on Instagram took to the comment section to express their disapproval of the thievery.

“Those women should be embarrassed I’m glad you put them on blast,” one user wrote.

Another user acknowledged the children who witnessed the incident that night.

“And those kids are going to grow up to be just like those adults, or worse. Sad,” the user wrote.

Another user noted, “🎃Halloween is supposed to be fun and they f**ked it up. Owners fault also never trust people around a bowl of candy unattended.”

“Stop being lazy and hand out the candy!” the user added.
