A high-profile evening packed with political figures and media elites quickly spiraled into chaos — but not everyone reacted with fear.

According to Fox News, among those in attendance at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner was Dana White, who found himself at the center of a terrifying scene when a gunman breached a security checkpoint and opened fire.

The incident unfolded inside the Washington Hilton Hotel, where more than 2,000 guests had gathered. A Secret Service agent was shot during the encounter but is expected to recover.

President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, and Vice President JD Vance were quickly escorted out as the situation escalated. Guests ducked for cover, with many hiding under tables as security rushed in.

The atmosphere inside the ballroom shifted instantly from formal to frantic.

White, who had been seated near the head table, described the moment things unraveled.

“It started getting noisy, tables started flipping over, guys running in with guns, and they were screaming ‘Get down,'” White said.

But instead of following those commands, he reacted differently.

“I didn’t get down. It was f**king awesome. I literally took every minute of it in, and it was a pretty crazy, unique experience.”

White said he had a direct view of the response as armed personnel flooded the room.

“Guys came in looking for shooters,” he continued. “They came toward our table. I thought the shooter was over by us or something.”

Earlier in the evening, White had walked the red carpet and discussed upcoming plans for a major UFC event tied to the White House. That conversation was quickly overshadowed by the unfolding emergency.

Despite the alarming nature of the shooting, there have been no reports of injuries among attendees beyond the wounded agent. Authorities moved swiftly to secure the area and evacuate guests.
