DAVE BOSSIE: Trump’s Foreign Policy Is A Game Changer For The World

As the 40th anniversary of the first summit between President Ronald Reagan and Soviet Union General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev in Geneva, Switzerland approaches, history is repeating itself.  Over the course of just a few days, President Donald Trump held a high stakes summit with Russian Dictator Vladimir Putin and then spearheaded an unprecedented meeting at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders in hopes of negotiating a peaceful conclusion to Putin’s brutal three-year war in Ukraine.

President Trump, like Reagan before him, traveled to Alaska to deal with Moscow’s thuggish behavior from a position of peace through strength.  Trump campaigned on this critically important foreign policy change and now he’s delivering on the promise —and the world is witnessing it in action.  Make no mistake about it, not only is President Trump confronting the failed status quo at home, but he’s also challenging the globalist establishment on international norms in the name of peace.  And this abrupt 180 degree turn in American leadership since the momentous 2024 election is making an enormous difference.

Putin agreed to meet with Trump on American soil to negotiate the end of his bloody war for the same reason he didn’t launch an invasion on Trump’s watch during his first term: respect.  Simply stated, Putin knows Trump means business and realizes he’ll never back down when the security of America is on the line.  The stark contrast on display between this president and presidents before him — when Putin saw no deterrent to his aggression — could not be clearer.

With the summit in Anchorage, President Trump once again moved the ball toward peace – and the extraordinary meeting with Zelensky and European leaders is a further step in the right direction.  Now, it’s up to Putin and Zelensky to sit down to discuss details in order to stop the killing – and the world will be watching.

During his first seven months in office, Donald Trump is literally re-writing the book on foreign policy before our eyes.  Not only is President Trump actively seeking – and successfully achieving – peace between warring nations in every corner of the globe, he’s doing so while demonstrating in no uncertain terms that he’ll use lethal force against bad actors without hesitation.  The steady stream of peace deals that the president has brokered during the opening months of his administration between Cambodia and Thailand, India and Pakistan, Israel and Iran, and Serbia and Kosovo just to name a few, are creating a ripple effect of hope around the world.
