A House Democratic lawmaker says a witness testified President Joe Biden spoke to some of his sonās business partners.
However, he insists the conversations detailed by the witness were not concerning.
On Monday, Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-N.Y.) addressed Devon Archerās, a former business associate of Hunter Biden, testimony.
There was speculation Archer would tell lawmakers the younger Biden regularly introduced his business associates to his father.
Goldman told reporters Archer said Hunter Biden would put his father on speakerphone for his associates.
However, he insisted they were casual conversations unrelated to business dealings.
āIt was clear⦠it was part of the daily conversations that Hunter Biden had with his father. And it sounded like most of the time, now-President Biden didnāt even know who the people ,ā the congressman said.
He continued, āHe was just asked to say hello⦠He described what the weather was.ā
āThe witness was very, very consistent that none of those conversations ever had to do with any business dealings or transactions. They were purely what he called casual conversations,ā Goldman added.
