Democrat Strategist’s Claim About Biden And Manufacturing Jobs Gets Her Steamrolled

Jessica Tarlov, a Democrat strategist who is also one of the co-hosts of “The Five,” was steamrolled on the show Thursday after attempting to argue how many manufacturing jobs returned under former President Joe Biden’s leadership.

Arguments over President Donald Trump’s direction of the economy ramped up after his April 2 announcement placing reciprocal tariffs against a list of countries, sending the stock market into a frenzy. While most Republicans have backed Trump’s decision — especially after he placed a 90-day pause on the tariffs, except for China — Tarlov said that the Republican hosts were discussing the issue from a “very privileged seat.”

“You guys are talking about this from a very privileged seat,” Tarlov said.

Co-host Judge Jeanine Pirro pushed back against Tarlov, saying that “Bringing jobs to middle America is not privileged.”

“OK, but this is what it’s doing. Microsoft announces they’re not opening up a new data center in Ohio because of this,” Tarlov said.

The hosts argued, with Fox’s Jesse Watters saying that Tarlov’s argument had “nothing to do” with Trump’s tariffs.

“Walmart saying, ‘We can’t do our economic forecasting.’ You said, ‘What do Democrats know about bringing back these jobs?’ Talk about the CHIPS and Science Act,” Tarlov said. “Talk about how many manufacturing jobs came back under Joe Biden.”

“Wait, wait, wait. What chips plant was built under Joe Biden? What chips plant, Jessica?” Watters asked.
