Dems Claim Ghislaine Maxwell Seeking Trump Pardon Amid Alleged ‘VIP Treatment’ in Prison

👤Ghislaine Maxwell — 👤Jeffrey Epstein’s convicted sex trafficking accomplice — is reportedly preparing to seek a commutation of her 20-year federal prison sentence, according to a letter sent Monday by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee to President 👤Donald Trump.

According to CBS News, the letter alleges Maxwell is “preparing a ‘Commutation Application’ for your Administration to review, undoubtedly coming to you for your direct consideration,” and claims that “the Warden herself is directly helping Ms. Maxwell copy, print, and send documents related to this application.”

Maxwell, who is currently incarcerated at the Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas, is serving a sentence scheduled to run through 2037.

The letter, signed by Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), accuses the Trump administration of giving Maxwell special treatment and suggests her influence may extend to the highest levels of government.

“The information we have received demonstrates either that Ms. Maxwell is herself requesting you release her from her 20-year prison sentence for her role as a co-conspirator in 👤Jeffrey Epstein’s international child sex trafficking ring,” the Democrats wrote, “or that this child sex predator now holds such tremendous sway in the second Trump Administration that you and your DOJ will follow her clemency recommendations.”

The letter alleges Maxwell is receiving “concierge-style” privileges at the Bryan facility, including customized meals and private meetings arranged by the warden.

“When Ms. Maxwell wanted to arrange a private meeting with visitors, the Warden personally arranged it for her — and then provided a special cordoned-off area for visitors to arrive, as well as an assortment of snacks and refreshments for her guests,” the letter claims. It further says her visitors were allowed to bring computers — “an unprecedented action” that Democrats say could allow Maxwell to communicate unmonitored with the outside world.

CBS News previously reported Maxwell’s transfer from a low-security prison in Tallahassee, Florida, to the Bryan camp in August. The move came shortly after a meeting between Maxwell and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche about the Epstein case.

Democrats on the committee are now demanding that Blanche testify publicly about his interactions with Maxwell and any “potential exchange of favors.”

CBS News said it has reached out to the Justice Department, the White House, and Maxwell’s attorney for comment.
