Casey DeSantis, the first lady of Florida, is reacting to a report about her husband announcing a presidential bid in an unconventional forum.

After he cruised to re-election with a nearly 20 percentage point margin, polls appeared to show the governor was in a strong position to beat former President Donald Trump and win his partyās nomination.
However, FiveThirtyEightās aggregator of polls shows Trump now leads the Florida governor, receiving 53.5% of the vote while Ron Desantis garners 20.8% nationally.
An adviser to Trump knocked the report about the Florida governorās campaign announcement plan, telling CBS Newsā Robert Costa on Tuesday, āAnnouncing on Twitter is perfect for Ron Desantis. This way he doesnāt have to interact with people and the media canāt ask him any questions.ā
Trumpās super PAC, MAGA Inc., has already reportedly spent $15.3 million attacking Ron Desantis, which is roughly the same amount it spent to boost Republican candidates ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
