Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairman Ken Martin said in an interview published Friday that his role makes him want to pull his own hair out on a daily basis.
Martin told Politico that there is “not a day that I don’t go home wanting to pull my hair out” in his current role. He added that being the head of the DNC is a very “tough job.”
Despite this, Martin emphasized to Politico that he still believes he has the “best job” in the nation.
“Most people think I’ve got the shittiest job in America, but I feel like I’ve got the best job in America,” Martin told the outlet.
Some Democrats have, per reports, previously blasted Martin — who was elected to his position in February — as being “whiny” and “weak.” Additionally, the DNC, which some Democrats have deemed “almost irrelevant,” has reportedly been struggling with internal conflicts and a drop in donations this year under Martin’s watch.
