A stray dog was finally rescued after three days with his head trapped in a cheese ball bucket and has been named Cheeto.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Cheeto was discovered in the cheesy situation over the weekend.
A Good Samaritan didn’t let him get salty and captured the dog. They then took him to the Last Stop Animal Rescue and Sanctuary.
The rescue’s owner, Tom Walsh stated, “This pup’s been out on the run — we don’t know how long — but we know he’s had the jug on his head for three days.”
“He was probably right down to the wire,” he added, noting that Cheeto is young and about 60-70 pounds underweight.
Walsh and his wife are both retired and run the rescue at their 12-acre farm. It is often the last stop for any animal in need of a home.
In addition to dogs, they have housed cats, cows, horses, donkeys, pigs, and ducks.
The Walshes posted about Cheeto’s story to Facebook documenting his capture and recovery since gaining shelter.
