Country music legend Dolly Parton is celebrating a milestone Birthday, turning 80 on Monday, Jan. 19, and she shows no signs of slowing down.
According to PEOPLE, the magazine marked the occasion with a special edition, featuring an in-depth interview and profile of the singer-songwriter, whose influence spans decades.
āPeople say, āWell, youāre going to be 80 years old.ā Well, so what? Look at all Iāve done in 80 years. I feel like Iām just getting started,ā Parton told PEOPLE in the feature. The 11-time Grammy winner added with her signature humor, āI know that sounds stupid, but unless my health gives way, which right now I seem to be doing fine.ā
The country icon has faced recent health challenges that led her to postpone a Las Vegas residency in September, but she reassured fans in an October Instagram video that sheās doing well. āI love you for caring, and keep praying for me,ā she said.
