Former Special Counsel John Durham received applause for his response to a warning regarding his reputation.
During a House hearing on Wednesday, Rep. Steven Cohen (D-Tenn.) suggested Durhamās investigation of the FBIās 2016 Russia probe would hurt his reputation.
āYou got no convictions. You got nothing. It was all set up to hurt the Mueller report⦠to hurt the Bidens and to help Trump,ā Cohen claimed.
He noted Durham āhad a good reputation.ā
However, Cohen shredded Durhamās investigation as he said, āThe longer you hold on to and this report that Mr. Barr gave you as special counsel, your reputation will be damaged as everybodyās reputation who gets involved with Donald Trumpās is damaged.ā
āHeās damaged goods. Thereās no good dealing with him because you will end up at the bottom of a pyre,ā Cohen added.

Durham responded, āMy concern about my reputation is with the people who I respect and my family and my Lord.ā
āAnd Iām perfectly comfortable with my reputation with them, sir,ā he added.
Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) chimed in, āWell said, God bless you.ā
Applause could also be heard in response to Durhamās comment.
Durham was directed to investigate the FBIās Trump-Russia probe in 2019.
In May, he released his findings of the investigation, which stated the FBI should not have launched its Russia investigation in 2016.
