Dwayne Johnson Talks Possibility of Future Presidential Run

Actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson addressed whether he would be running for 🏛️President one day.

In an interview with the “Today” show on Dec. 6, Johnson, 51, spoke about the possibility of running for office in the future.

“Here’s what I can tell you with 100% certainty and surety is that I believe in working hard controlling the controllables and putting in all the hard work with your own two hands, and being humble, hungry, and grateful, kicking a** and always give back,” he explained.

He added, “That’s what I can tell you. So it’s not a no.”

This came after Johnson posted the results of a 2021 survey conducted by Piplsay on his Instagram page which revealed nearly 46% of Americans would support his leadership in the White House.

“I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve you, the people,” the “Black Adam” star wrote in the caption.

The former WWE wrestler has hinted at a possible presidential run numerous times in the past.

In a 2016 interview with British GQ, Johnson opened up about his interest in 🏛️Politics.

“I’ll be honest, I haven’t ruled 🏛️Politics out,” he said.

“I’m not being coy when I say that, but at the moment I am not sure. I can’t deny that the thought of being governor, the thought of being 🏛️President, is alluring,” he explained.

Continuing, he said becoming 🏛️President would “be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale.”

“But there are a lot of other things I want to do first,” he added.

That same year, Johnson posted a screenshot from a news broadcast where a fan was holding up a sign endorsing him over former 🏛️President Bill Clinton and former 🏛️President Donald Trump during a protest at the Democratic National Convention.
