The Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) unveiled a new video Tuesday criticizing Democrats for being out of touch with everyday Americans as their party’s approval rating nears record lows, the Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.
The RSLC, a GOP group working to elect down-ballot Republicans and conservative judicial candidates, released a video titled “Dems Master Plan” highlighting viral statements from Democratic Reps. Jasmine Crockett of Texas and Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, as well as former Vice President Kamala Harris, appearing to insult Americans. The new video comes as Democrats are working to win back voters and erase perceptions that the party caters to the far left and is beholden to coastal elites.
A plurality of Americans ranked abortion, LGBT rights, climate change, and “the state of democracy” as the “most important” issues to the Democratic Party according to a New York Times-Ipsos poll released in January that surveyed 2,128 Americans. The party’s approval rating nosedived to 29%, according to a CNN poll released in March.
