President-elect Donald Trumpās team released a new video Wednesday touting the background of former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Trumpās choice to helm the Department of Justice (DOJ) in his second term.
The 106-second-long video highlights Bondiās accomplishments as Floridaās top cop between 2011 and 2019, including her crackdowns against illicit opioid āpill millā clinics that plagued her home state. Bondi, tapped by Trump as his nominee for attorney general after former Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz withdrew himself from the nomination process, was a defense attorney for Trump during his first impeachment trial in 2020 and has served as the chair of the America First Policy Instituteās Center for Litigation.
