Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) would support strikesĀ Ā that would hamper any Iranian nuclear weapons ambitions.
The Pennsylvania senator took to X Monday to express his thoughts one the matter, per Fox News.
āIran canāt ever develop a nuclear weapon,ā Fetterman wrote. āFully supported the strike earlier this year.ā
āFully support any future strikes to damage or destroy their nuclear ambitions,ā he added.
Fetterman is an ardent supporter of Israel.
On Monday, President Donald Trump cautioned there could be future action if Iran seeks to rebuild its program.
āNow I hear that Iran is trying to build up again. And if they are weāre gonna have to knock āem down,ā Trump said. āWeāll knock the hell out of āem. But hopefully thatās not happening. I heard Iran wants to make a deal. If they want to make a deal thatās much smarter.ā
Trump spoke while standing with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The two met in Florida on Monday.
