Sherrone Moore, the recently fired University of Michigan head football coach, was arrested on Wednesday following Allegations of assault and months-long stalking, a shocking turn for the once-celebrated $6 million-per-year coach.
According to the New York Post, a 911 call obtained by TMZ reveals a university employee reporting that Moore had allegedly been stalking her for months before allegedly attacking her.
The call, made from the address of an executive assistant to the head coach, came just hours before the university terminated Moore “with cause” over what officials described as an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member who has not been publicly identified.
Of the 17-second audio, five seconds were censored to protect the caller’s identity. Moore, 39, is currently in Washtenaw County Jail, reportedly in protective custody and under the supervision of mental health professionals, according to University of Michigan instructor John Bacon.
