A former insider with the Democratic National Committee is speaking out how former President Joe Bidenâs climbing age made him a less effective president.
Lindy Li, who was a fund raiser for the DNC as well as and National Finance Committee member, talked with Fox News Digital about Bidenâs presidency and how she was eventually iced out âtelling the truth.â
âI was banned from the Biden White House for telling the truth when it mattered,â Li said. âI actually took a risk. Jake Tapper wrote a book and decided to tell the truth and have his Eureka moment after it was safe, after Biden had gone to pasture. There was nothing on the line for him.â
Journalists Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson penned their book, âOriginal Sin,â about Biden.âs decline.
Li has since left the Democratic Party. She talked about her concerns regarding Biden. She said Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-Ill.) said in 2022 that Biden was too old to seek another term as president. However, she heard Duckworth âsinging Bidenâs praisesâ on TV a year later.
âThat day was when she decided to become his campaign co-chair,â Li said. âA full year later, heâs not getting any younger.â
Li said she continued to express concern even after Biden decided to run for reelection, much to her demise.
âTo be treated like a complete criminal was just jarring for me,â Li said. âI just asked a question too. I wasnât attacking anybody. I just if maybe he should step down, in the nicest way possible.â
Democratic insiders were told how to handle the situation, she said.
âWe were given talking points,â Li said. âEvery time they say theyâre not paying attention, or they didnât take something seriously, they paid attention, and they took it seriously.â
In the end, she was ostracized.
âI hosted and Kamala Harris on Feb. 3, coinciding with the DNC Winter Meeting, and they confiscated my phone,â Li said.
She was told not to post anything on social media. When she did post an item on Instagram about Biden at a dinner event, the DNC called her âin a fit of furyâ and ordered her to take the post down.
âIt was hard for me because I was one of the youngest members on the committee, if not the youngest, so I didnât have the age or the gravitas,â Li said. âI just donât think they listened.â
The coverup went further.
âIt encompassed not just the White House, but all the influencers they had on their payroll. Do not tell me they didnât have influencers on their payroll because they literally paid me,â Li said.
Later, she was told to âtar and featherâ Special Counsel Robert Hur when he called Biden âa sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memoryâ when Hur recommended Biden not be charged in the classified documents case.
âThey were in damage control mode. We were basically supposed to say was a genius, in not so many words, but basically he is like this wizard behind closed doors, and how with age comes wisdom,â Li said. âWe were supposed to undermine his character,â Li said about Hur. âYeah, we were supposed to assassinate his character.â
When the disastrous June debate was over, people âwere so devastated by the debate,â Li said.
âJen OâMalley Dillon (chairperson for Bidenâs reelection campaign) did a damage control briefing that morning, and people were misty-eyed. The previous night, people were crying on a shuttle home because they were so devastated by the debate,â Li said.
