The employee who was reportedly behind a controversial chyron at Fox News labeling President Joe Biden a “wannabe dictator” is reportedly out of a job.

In an Instagram post viewed by The Daily Beast, former Fox News producer Alexander McCaskill wrote, “Today was my last day at Fox News. It’s been a wild 10 years and it was the best place I’ve ever worked because of the great people I met.”

“But the time has come. I asked them to let me go, and they finally did,” he added.

On Tuesday, NBC News’ Natasha Korecki tweeted a picture of a split screen on Fox News.

On the right side of the screen was former President Donald Trump delivering a speech about his indictment for his handling of classified documents. And on the left side of the screen was Biden.

Meanwhile, the chyron gave the sitting president a two-word title: Wannabe dictator.

“WANNABE DICTATOR SPEAKS AT THE WHITE HOUSE AFTER HAVING HIS POLITICAL RIVAL ARRESTED,” the full text stated.

In a statement, a Fox News spokesperson said, “The chyron was taken down immediately and was addressed.”

The Daily Beast reported McCaskill is a former managing editor for “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

In a video posted on Twitter, former Fox News host Tucker Carlsoncriticized the outrage over the “wannabe dictator” chyron.

“Why were they angry? If the banner on Fox was false? Why the hysteria?” Carlson asked.

He added, “Those words were up for less than 30 seconds, but the effect was immediate. Inside Fox, the women who run the network panicked.”

The commentator also criticized Fox News’ handling of the incident as he said the network “scolded” McCaskill.
