Shannon Bream has boosted the viewership of “Fox News Sunday” among a younger audience.

According to The Washington Examiner, TV executives declared Bream’s show is the only Sunday public affairs program to expand in the demographic of critical and wealthy the 25-54-year-old demographic.

Bream reportedly has increased their viewership by 13% and pushed up the viewership of 18-49-year-olds by 16% over former host Chris Wallace’s last show, the Examiner reported.

Fox insiders said Bream garnered good ratings when filling in for Wallace and her changes to the show have resulted in new viewers, according to the report.

“It’s been an honor to join the tradition of Fox News Sunday and we’re all about bringing new people to join us in the conversation,” Bream told the outlet on Thursday.

She added, “It’s a privilege to be in folks’ homes every Sunday, and we’re glad they’ve found reasons to keep coming back.”

Additionally, the Examiner noted on Dec. 11, “Fox News Sunday” raked in 1,107,000 viewers and 305,000 viewers between the ages of 25-54.

“This Week” is down in ratings by 22%, “Face the Nation” has decreased by 33%, and “Meet the Press” by 7%.

Bream made history in September after she became the first woman to host “Fox News Sunday,” IJR previously reported.

“I’m grateful for the female pioneers in the world of journalism who fought to clear a path for my generation, so that I can step into this position as the first female host of ‘Fox News Sunday’ with confidence and humility,” she said at the time.

Bream continued, “I think anyone who takes the helm at ‘Fox News Sunday’ has the extraordinary good fortune to build on decades of solid journalism. I’m honored to continue that tradition and add to it.”

It was announced in August that Bream would be the new host of the show.

She then posted a Twitter thread sharing her experience in the media throughout her career.

The host shared she received a “healthy serving of humility, and learned that God often allows us to walk through valleys – for our own good. That was also true when I spent years in chronic pain and was ultimately diagnosed with a genetic condition that has no cure.”

Concluding her thread, Bream wrote, “God walks with us through our deepest sorrows, and celebrates with us on our mountaintops. Our circumstances may change, but He never will. I’m feeling especially grateful for that this week, and can’t wait to start my new adventure on .”
