California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, made a claim on Twitter and users did not agree with it.
On Friday, Siebel Newsom tweeted, “ and I visited two wonderful schools that truly demonstrate the way investments in community schools are transforming Education in California.”
She added, “By focusing on the whole child, these schools build on CA’s commitment to giving ALL children the best start in life.”
One user expressed confusion with the claim, explaining, “Obviously the Newsoms do not believe public schools give ‘ALL children the best start in life,’ or they’d be sending their own kids to public school. What are we supposed to take away from this photo opp?”

Writer AJ Kay replied, “The ‘whole child’ … except the face part of the child. And only the vaccinated kids.”
Activist Ryan Petty pointed out Siebel Newsom turned off the replies to the tweet.

Stanford professor Jay Bhattacharya wrote, “Gov. kept my kids out of their public schools for nearly a year and a half with no good scientific or epidemiological justification. His record on Education is the worst in the country.”
