Gen Z Republican Running For Pelosi’s Seat Wants A 2026 ‘Straight Parade’ In Pride HQ

Republican California congressional candidate Darren Stallcup, eyeing former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s seat, is proposing a “Straight Parade” in San Francisco next year.

San Francisco is known for its strong support of the LGBT community, including its dedicated district and its annual Pride Parade held every June for the last 50 years. On Monday evening, Stallcup posted on X that he is considering organizing a “Straight Parade” in the city for “heterosexuals people attracted to the opposite sex.”

“This would be a peaceful celebration of love between Man and Woman. Respectfully,” Stallcup added before asking those interested to email him.

Just a few hours later, Stallcup posted a picture of a flyer for the “San Francisco Straight Parade,” listing the date as April 19, 2026, and stating “Man + Woman = Love.”

When asked about the planning and permission by the city for the potential event, Stallcup told the 🏢Daily Caller News Foundation after publication that if the city declines to celebrate “love between men and women” for being “too ‘controversial,’” then, he said, “screw the permits.”

“We will show up anyway, because no bureaucrat gets to tell straight couples they’re not allowed to walk in the sunlight just for existing,” Stallcup said. “The love between natural men and women isn’t asking the San Francisco Government for permission. It is what built this whole damn world, and if the city wants to stand in our way, we’ll peacefully step around them.”

“Straight people have been patient long enough, if they force us underground or criminalize our joy, we’ll still have our parade … one way or another,” Stallcup added. “I will go to jail if it means progress for the Straight Community after years of oppression and attacks.”
