George conwayâs group The Lincoln Project is firing back in response to President Donald Trumpâs stark disapproval of the organizationâs coronavirus advertisement.
After Trumpâs tweetstorm, The Lincoln Project quickly fired back with what they describe as a âbedtime story.â
âSince you are awake and trolling the internet, , here is a little bedtime story just for you ⌠good night, Mr. President,â the Lincoln Project tweeted.
âHard to say when you look smaller, Mr. President âŚwhen you are sitting on your little stool in front of the magnificent Lincoln monument, or right here, at 1:00 in the morning, tapping away on your phone.â
George conway â husband of counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway â also fired backat Trumpâs late-night tweets with a series of tweets of his own. He also included an open letter to Trump that he signed with the name, âMoonface.â One tweet also suggested that another advertisement might be released in the near future.

The response follows a string of tweets unleashed by Trump.
On Tuesday morning, the president took to Twitter with a series of tweets directed toward The Lincoln Project, which consists of Republicans â including prominent members like George Conway, Steve Schmidt, and Rick Wilson â who are not in favor of Trump being reelected.
Trump referred to the group as âRINO,â Republicans In Name Only, labeling them as âloser typesâ for their âmany failures.â
Then, he took direct aim at George conway calling him a âMoonface.â He also called the group a âdisgrace to Honest Abe.â
The groupâs co-founder, Jennifer Horn, also said in response to Trumpâs tweets that they âjust how unstable and unfit for office he really is.â
Trumpâs tweets follow the release of The Lincoln Projectâs advertisement on Monday. The Republican-backed group, dedicated to preventing Trumpâs reelection, shared the advertisement via Twitter.
With the video, the group expressed concern about the economic aftermath the country is facing as a result of Trumpâs coronavirus handling.
The tweet reads, â failed presidency has left the nation weaker, sicker, and teetering on the verge of a new Great Depression. Thereâs mourning in America.â

The group holds Trump responsible for what it calls the âworst economy in decades.â In the video, the president is also accused of bailing out âWall Street but not Main Street.â
The Lincoln Project has also publicly endorsed presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, as previously reported on IJR.
