Co-host of âThe Viewâ Whoopi Goldberg is taking aim at Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) over her outburst during President Joe Bidenâs State of the Union.
During a segment on Wednesday, Goldberg referenced Boebertâs viral moment as she said, âThis is Lauren. Now, you know, donât talk about the military unless you really want to talk about the military. You canât do what they do. Thatâs why we revere them because they do the stuff we canât do.â
âAnd the minute you poop on them. You poop on them like the last guy did, talking about those Gold Star families, talking about Mr. McCain as not being a hero. Who the hell do you think you are, little girl? Who do you think you are?â She continued.
Finally, Goldberg said, âYou donât have to like this president to be respectful of him talking about the military and his son who died. You donât have to like him. But you must be respectful. You gotta be.â

Biden made a reference to deceased U.S. service members in flag-draped coffins during his remarks which led Boebert to puncture the solemn mood in the House chamber as she shouted, âYou put them in. Thirteen of them.â
In a tweet Tuesday night, the Colorado Congresswoman explained, âWhen Biden said flag draped coffins I couldnât stay silent. I told him directly he did it. He put 13 in there.â
âOur heroic servicemen and women deserve so much better,â she added.
Boebertâs comments referred to the 13 U.S. service members who died in Kabul, Afghanistan, in Aug. 2021 when a suicide bomber detonated explosives. At least 170 civilians were killed as well.
The attack came amid the United Statesâ withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Republicans have used the suicide bombing to attack Biden and call for his resignation or impeachment.
